The James Law Firm PLLC's attorney, Nat James, started practicing law in the Research Triangle Park in 1992. As a member of the legal community, Nat has served small business owners as outside legal counsel and well as in-house general counsel. His tasks as in-house counsel included drafting, negotiating, and executing customer master services agreements and statements of work, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, data sharing agreements, independent contractor agreements with vendors, employment agreements, employee-employer disputes, and engaging and interfacing with outside legal counsel for tasks such as patent litigation, regulatory compliance matters, intellectual property, commercial leasing, and merger and acquisition transactions. As outside legal counsel, Mr. James has provided legal advice to numerous clients on a wide range of general business topics including mergers and acquisitions, partnership agreements, owner disputes, angel investments, and employment disputes. Recently, he has devoted a substantial amount of his time providing legal services in the healthcare and pharmaceutical marketing industries.
Nat earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics (Finance major) from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, a masters in business administration from Harvard Business School (Harvard University), and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia’s School of Law. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and licensed to practice law in North Carolina, a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and its Real Property section, is licensed as Broker-in-Charge for the NC real estate firm Crimson Cardinal Realty, LLC, and a member of the International Business Brokers Association. Nat has been married to his bride for thirty years and they enjoy their two adult children and grandchildren.
